Olivia Jones is an emerging artist based in Perth, Western Australia.

Olivia Jones is an early career artist working in Fremantle, Western Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Curtin University and has exhibited at The Other Art Fair (Melbourne, 2017). Her first major solo show will be at KolbuszSpace in February 2022 with funding awarded through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries for creative development.

Her visceral and evocative oil paintings deal with lived experiences of mental health, softening and concealing hard rocks from her family bush block with layers of white paint over coloured foundations. Rather than insist on the futility of blocking out the rock and colour away completely, Jones allows and works within these realities to add acceptance and depth to her striking works.

Jones' next exhibition will be at Kolbusz Space, Perth, in March 2024.
